Baralai bites his lip and tries not to be amused at Gippal when he turns up, because he's obviously tried and he has missed Gippal too, and Gippal looks tired and pissed off, so he tells him to get his ass in the temple (though he says it a lot more politely than that) and get himself cleaned up. He even casts a cure on Gippal for the saddle sores he's bound to have.
Even when Gippal is clean and dressed again, he's careful not to go anywhere with a bed, because he's not sure he can take the temptation, let alone Gippal. But he lets Gippal hold him and he snuggles close and thinks about love and how he really misses the way Gippal makes him feel when they're, blush, in bed.
"Missed you," he admits, nuzzling at Gippal's neck, and thinking about how long they have left. Sixteen days gone. And they took their own sweet time about it. Sixteen from sixty, that leaves forty-four and he wonders how much people would care if he broke the vow of chastity a little early.
But he won't, 'cause he's 'Lai and he keeps his promises always.
