Summary: Instructors have frustrations to take out too.
"Instructor?"
She looked up at him and found herself blushing a little. She didn't know why, either, except that his cold blue-grey eyes were on her and she wasn't completely sure what he wanted, and he was really looking at her, not through her or past her or in her general direction. She felt so isolated when she was at the front of a classroom and their gazes all went past her or through her or just pretended to be watching her and it made her heart thump a little to feel his eyes on her.
"Why are you following me?"
She hesitated. She had a reason, of course, but it wasn't a good one. Assessing him in the training center? Well, yeah, but... she'd already told them all she'd graded them on that job. She did love to see him fight. It was amazing the way he came alive when he was fighting, all masks of indifference ripped away, especially when he was fighting for his life. She took a deep breath, and tried to remember how to lie with an honest face.
"Please don't," he said, before she could say anything more. He turned around and walked off again before she ever had a chance to speak.
She waited for him to get out of sight, caught in shock and caught with a longing she couldn't deny to herself, a longing for human contact, and then she ran after him, joining him as he landed the first strike on a T-Rexaur.
She snapped out her whip and gave him a defiant look, because, after all, she was his superior; "Instructors have frustrations to take out too!"
