Summary: Dreams that come true.
She's been having strange dreams for a while now. Seifer and Squall are in them, but they aren't those kind of dreams, dreams that would make the colour rush to her face just to think about. No, innocent dreams, or well, not innocent, but not sexual, anyway.
She dreams that the hatred between the two will rip the world apart. She wakes crying because she sees bodies, so many bodies, so much blood. She sees the future and the past all laid out and yet jumbled together and understands so little. It makes her head hurt to think about it.
In her dreams, Seifer is a Knight. And she would be happy that he found his place, but there's a look on his face, behind the fierce pride and the joy of the fight, a look of desperation that chills her far too deeply to simply shake off. She hopes that he will pass the SeeD exam, this time, just so that the future she's dreaming of could never come about. Though it won't, of course -- they're just dreams.
She's a little kinder to Squall though, because she saw him fall apart, in her dreams. She's gentle and encouraging and although he doesn't respond, every part of her wants to reach out for him. And sometimes it feels wrong to be stood there teaching him because in her dreams she defers to him. It feels like her destiny and something in her just wants to embrace it -- but of course, that's all nonsense.
She never believed in prophets and their glib little predictions, but soon, she won't be able to help believing.
