Summary: When it's all over, Squall goes to the usual place, just like always, to meet Seifer. For overlooked. As before, more by way of a doodle than a fully worked piece: trying to get back into these characters. Also for three_weeks_for_dw, in that this is part of my plan to wake up overlooked again.


"Didn't think you'd come here."

Squall doesn't turn to look. "You're late, Seifer."

"I didn't think you'd be here," Seifer says, again. Squall listens to him move: his steps on the stone, the sound of him drawing Hyperion from its sheath. "We haven't been here since before..."

A shrug. "We always come here."

"Squall..."

Wordless, Squall draws Lionheart and turns to face him. "Nothing's changed, Seifer."

Seifer meets his eyes. "You don't mean that."

"You're wasting time," Squall says. The corner of Seifer's mouth pulls into a smirk. He moves without warning -- and Squall parries the blow.

No, nothing's changed.
