Pairing: Ban/Ginji

Summary: Ban can't sleep.
It's no good.
Hotel room: good. Bed: good. Comfortable bed: even better. Two comfortable beds: heaven. Or so he'd thought. He's been sleeping in Miss Ladybug with Ginji far too long, after all, all elbows and knees and Ginji's occassional flicker of electricity. Too cold in winter, too warm in summer. And so on. So this should be heaven. He'd never been good at sharing space, before.
But now... Now Ginji's only about a meter away from him, and he can see him right there in the light from the streets outside -- the covers have slipped off already, stupid electric eel can't quit wriggling around for the life of him -- but it's too damn far away.
"Ginji?"
Little more than a sleepy mumble: "Ban?"
"I'm coming over there."
"'kay."
Ban gets out of bed, nearly leaves the covers behind, and then on second thought drags them with him, over to Ginji's bed. It's narrow, but there's still more room than in the Ladybug, and hell, it'll be alright. "Budge up a bit."
Another sleepy mumble. Ginji budges. Ban slides in next to him, arranging the covers, and doesn't tense up even a little when Ginji slides his arm around him. "Missed you too."
"Who says I missed you, dork?"
Ginji doesn't say anything, but he makes himself comfortable, tucked against Ban's side. "Next time, we should get a room with just one bed."
Ban sighs, reaches up to tousle Ginji's hair. "Guess so. Gonna sleep now?"
"Yeah," Ginji breathes, and then he's out like a light, face pressed against Ban's chest. Ban rolls his eyes, but slowly, slowly, he's relaxing.
This is almost near enough.

Ban and Ginji are IC. You managed to make Ban sound totally like himself even when it's him who goes to sleep in Ginji's bed and it's typical Ginji to cuddle as soon as Ban is there :D
Thanks for sharing this! *3*

I didn't make it, so check for the credit in my keywords.
A delicious slice of life!

I've never heard the expression, 'Budge up.' How colourful! I'm going to use that next time i need to demand someone make more space.

My (Belgian) girlfriend tells me that "budge up" is a very British phrase. I never knew!
