TDIR: Unnoticed
Fandom: The Dark Is Rising
Pairing: Will/Bran
Warnings: None
Rating: G
Summary: They think they're keeping it a secret. For
fic_on_demand.
Owen thinks that they think he doesn't notice. He'd like not to, sometimes: as much as he wants Bran to be happy, he's also aware that he should be seeing his relationship with Will as an evil thing. It's hard to, though, when just a touch -- their arms brushing while they wash up, their hands touching when Will passes Bran something to dry -- makes his son's face light up like he's never seen before. The love is obvious, more than anything else.
He's caught them holding hands when he wasn't looking. Caught, in the corner of his eye, Will pressing a kiss to the corner of Bran's mouth -- hurried, but not really guilty, a snatch of a private moment.
One day, Bran will tell him about it, he's sure. And he'll be used to it then -- enough to smile, and swallow the bitter words about Christianity, and the Bible, and men laying with other men.
Enough, perhaps, to tease Bran about his lack of subtlety.

My favourite line would be: "The love is obvious, more than anything else."
