Summary: Will comes out to his mother. For [livejournal.com profile] drabbles100.

"You're just going to tell her?"

Will raised an eyebrow. "What else would I do?"

"But -- "

"It'll be okay. Watch." Will rolled his eyes at Bran, grabbing a handful of cutlery and starting to set the table. "Mum, I've got something to tell you."

"Mmm?"

"I'm gay. Bran's my boyfriend."

Bran looked as if he was bracing himself. Will's mother frowned for a moment, focused on the dinner, and then -- "That's nice."

"You're not... angry? Not even surprised?" Bran asked, before he could stop himself.

"I knew already, dear," she said, absently. "You aren't very... subtle."

*DL* Poor Bran.

Apparently Owen wasn't as easy with it, ha. Bran was really worried he was gonna see Will thrown out of his home!

(Although I do think Owen would eventually come to some kind of uneasy truce with the idea.)

Owen has a lot of other issues to deal with that Will's family doesn't. I can see him taking it a lot harder as a result.

Yeah, especially considering his religion -- though the Stantons seem to be religious, it doesn't seem to be such a key thing for them, really. Owen seems very into the sin/guilt part, whereas I doubt the Stantons would be. But I do think his love for Bran would win out, even if just to the extent that Bran can do as he likes as long as it's not in front of Owen.
