Bran wakes. For a moment he remembers -- a sword, a king, a wizard, magic: all the brilliant terrifying lost things, all the things that haunt his dreams at night. Will is already awake, watching him, expression guarded. For a moment Bran knows -- he really understands.
"It's alright," Will says, softly. Bran closes his eyes, trying to concentrate, trying to remember.
"It's not alright," he says. "You know it's not alright, dewin."
Will doesn't answer. A moment later, Bran gets out of bed, grumbling about the cold. There is no knowing in his eyes, now.
