feywood for my first kisses meme.
"Wouldn't you prefer to be in town with your siblings?"
Barney looked up and frowned at Bran. "Why would I want to spend the day with them? We're here to visit you, after all. And besides, I begged off their little shopping trip as quick as I could."
"Not fond of shopping with your sister?" Bran smiled a little, walking closer to Barney. Their shoulders brushed -- the path was narrow there, but not too steep. Barney suspected Bran had picked an easy route for his sake.
"It's not that." Barney shrugged a little and then laughed. "Well -- it is a little. But mostly I just wanted to get you on your own."
"Oh?"
Barney took a deep breath and then grabbed Bran's sleeve, making him stop and turn. He was wearing his sunglasses and Barney wished more than ever that he wasn't, so that he could see Bran's eyes, figure out how he was feeling. "I wanted to do something," he said, awkwardly.
Bran raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"
"Yeah," Barney said, and he tugged a little on Bran's sleeve to pull him closer, clutching it tighter as he leaned up. The kiss was awkward -- Bran was taller than him, still, and the slope didn't help, and he hadn't really kissed anyone before and doubted Bran had either. But Bran didn't pull away or get angry or say something gentle and regretful, and Barney was pretty sure that was a good sign.
