He wasn't drunk. He was, however, pleasantly warm and inclined to smile a lot -- a state which was helped by the remarkably cheerful companionship of Vossler, and the fact that they hadn't got killed on their little monster killing expedition.
He wasn't particularly surprised when Vossler suddenly grabbed him, one hand cupping the back of his head, and kissed him. There'd been something -- a spark -- for a long time, and now they were slightly drunk on both wine and victory, it seemed an excellent time to indulge it. Had he been completely sober, and if it hadn't been such a long time since he'd had something like it, he might have been more hesitant, but as it was --
"I think it's high time we both went to bed," he said, with a straight face. Vossler's mouth curled into a small smile as he pulled away.
"Let's."
