Edge spends far too much time talking. Kain, more tight-lipped, found it annoying until it became almost endearing, and even then it set his teeth on edge a little. This is better, though -- Edge more or less silent, just making a tiny noise of surprise and then eagerness, his mouth open under Kain's. Kain intended to hit him, or shut him up some other way, and yet -- well, considering the favourable outcome, this is by far the best thing he's thought of in years and the only thing he's done right in far too long.
When the kiss breaks, Edge opens his mouth again, no doubt about to say something. Kain kisses him hard, forcing words away, and he makes a much more interesting noise in response.
