"What kind of chocolate do you like?"

"Chocolate?"

Laguna stopped, bemused, putting a hand on Squall's arm to stop him. "Yes. Chocolate. As in the nice stuff that makes a great treat and a really great romantic gift and girls sometimes refuse to eat because they're on diets. And you can get it hot to drink or cold to eat in chunks. Or sometimes as a sauce which gets everywhere, and you can put it all over people and lick... Yeah. Chocolate."

"I don't like chocolate," Squall told him, bemused in his turn. "I've never seen anything nice about it."

"Have you even tried it?"

Laguna was so incredulous that Squall had to laugh, even Squall, who never laughed. That made Laguna beam with happiness, even if he didn't exactly know why Squall was laughing.

"Yeah. It's too sweet."

"Not all chocolate is really sweet! There's white chocolate, which is lovely, and milk chocolate, which is in the middle and really nice too, and then there's dark chocolate which is all bitter -- I don't really like it, but Kiros does, and I bet you'd like it. Really, I should've thought of that, you're such a grump, just like Kiros."

Squall just sighed, shaking his head and starting to walk again. "Laguna, I'm nothing like Kiros."

"...Hmm. Can we buy some chocolate sauce?"
