She doesn't run to him crying like Rinoa did. She barely even tells him at all, but he can tell -- can tell by the tension in her shoulders and the way she distances herself. He recognised that; the coping mechanism.
He hates it when she does that, even if it's his own trick.
When Seifer's gone and she does come to him crying, wanting his comfort, it hurts all the more because he's never seen it before, because he's holding her in his arms and letting her cry for the first time, not sure if he's doing the right thing.
