Dear Bran,
Don't be an idiot, I write back to all your letters, remember? Though you're right, I'm planning on Oxford, so I've really got my nose to the grindstone. I really owe you a long letter considering how long it's been, but I don't really have that much to say.
I remember the fire, but I don't remember anything like that happening. It must have been a really weird dream. I guess you must be kind of stressed lately, and that's making you have really vivid dreams. I had a bad one, a couple of days ago, too -- I dreamed that we got a letter saying Stephen had died fighting! I suppose that must have been because I'm worried that he won't be home on leave any time soon. You've met him, right? He's my oldest brother.
Speaking of brothers, James has just arrived home with his girlfriend, just in time for dinner. I suppose I'd better go and lay the table.
