"It's still hard to believe," Bran said, softly. His breath clouded in the air, and his hand was like ice in Will's. He didn't move at all -- he'd seemed rooted to the spot since Will led him through the doors and out onto the hillside and told him to open his eyes. His eyes were on the sky. Will's were on him.

"Still?" he asked, a little disappointed. Bran flexed his fingers in Will's grip, finally, glancing at him.

"You can't expect someone to take in something as important as this all at once, boyo. Give me some time. I do believe you." He looked up again, looking to the horizon. "So what are you showing me?"

"The Leonids." Will looked up at the sky too, moving a little closer so their shoulders bumped. "It's November the thirteenth, in eighteen thirty-three. Some people think this is the most spectacular meteor storm there ever will be. People see it and think it's the end of the world."

"I can see why," Bran said, softly.

"I've always wanted to see it," Will said, and he sounded almost shy. His fingers tightened around Bran's. "I didn't want to come alone, though."

"Should you be telling me about all this?" Bran asked, after another moment. He glanced sideways at Will. "I mean... I'm supposed to have forgotten, aren't I? I'm not supposed to know..."

"You're twenty, not twelve. I think you can handle it," Will replied, with a flash of a smile.

Bran smirked a little. "I can handle anything."

Will's grip tightened again. "I know."

Thank you. :) Surprisingly, considering how short it is, it took me quite some time to write because Will and Bran were being boys and refusing to talk. xD

I love this, thank you. Their interaction, the way Will is almost shy gives the hint that their relationship is just fairly newish, that they're still working out where they are with each other.

I'm glad you liked it. :) I had this image in my head of what was going to happen in it pretty much from the minute I read your prompt (thanks to my sister going on about the Perseids meteor shower happening tonight!), and then it took me quite a while to get it right, even though it's so short. I thought that I'd end up with at least a kiss somewhere in there, but my inner Bran sort of laughed in my face. xD
