Bran had thought about them a lot, as a teenager. Both of them were somehow imprinted on his mind. On his heart, too, though he'd say much, much less about that, if asked. Jane Drew, with her pretty smile, and her pretty hair, and her determination to see him -- even when Barney and Simon had lost interest, she'd visited him, and wormed her way into his life. And then there was Will, of course, and he wasn't pretty, and there was something about him that suggested he intended to be entirely unmemorable, and still Bran couldn't stop thinking about him.
He was in his twenties, and people had gone well beyond whispering their comments that he should be settling down, when he realised what the solution would be. They'd have to be interested, of course -- but Jane still visited, and sometimes he caught Will staring at him, and he knew they liked each other well enough... And really, he couldn't imagine them not being interested. He'd been captivated by the idea since he'd first thought of it, since he'd first imagined it -- having both of them, at the same time... he imagined having Jane underneath him, holding onto him, while he -- and while Will was inside him, and --
Bran never thought it would be easy. But he wanted it, and he was determined to have it. And he wasn't the giving up type.
