Djaq's hands shook as she cupped Marian's face between them, and she had to close her eyes and ignore the pounding of her heart, thumping harder than ever before. She knew Marian was startled when she kissed her, but she wasn't pushed away and so she kissed her again. She was sure her heart had leapt up into her mouth, beating so hard that Marian would be able to feel it in the kiss. She was scared Robin would see, scared she was slipping a knife into his heart, and yet she couldn't stop, and she didn't really want to.
