"For luck," Aerith said, smiling, and before Yuffie quite knew what she was doing there was a hand behind her head and soft lips pressed against hers -- and Aerith was pulling back, her eyes sparkling, and someone was laughing, and it took Yuffie a moment to realise it was herself -- her heart light, the whole of her suddenly buoyed up, and she could almost forget the darkness they would all face, could almost forget the creatures waiting for them in the world outside.
"Another one, for extra luck," she announced, kissing Aerith again, and then pulling away, starting to run -- catching Aerith's hand in hers to pull her along too.
