Gatta and I were happy, in Besaid. We had a life there -- we were at peace; even if Sin threatened far too often, Besaid was a haven, with its temple, it's familiar, easy relationship with Yevon. We gave that up -- I gave it up and he followed -- for a vague hope and a handful of dreams, and I don't regret it.
I know I will die here. I know it by the feeling in my gut. I do my best to protect Gatta from harm and then -- then I'll die, for a hope, and a handful of dreams.
