Allan kissed her once.
Now, she's not even sure he remembers. He seems no different than usual: smiling, cheerful, lying, stealing -- the latter two only when completely necessary, he'd hasten to add. It was a kiss before a fight, a hasty thing snatched between moments, and he laughed at her expression and said it was for luck, and then he had dashed off. Djaq tells herself she shouldn't be disappointed; it's probably for the best. And it seems so utterly like him to have just forgotten like that.
