10lilies.
Mameha isn't surprised to see Hatsumomo waiting for her when she steps out of the room. She smiles at her, bobs her head in recognition, and begins to walk past. Hatsumomo grabs her arm -- almost suddenly enough to surprise her. She stops immediately, turning to face Hatsumomo, unsurprised by the feeling that Hatsumomo's eyes are raking up and down her form. "You have been lucky today, Mameha. Your luck is changing."
"And will you be instrumental in the change then, Hatsumomo?" she asks, raising an eyebrow. She doesn't miss the flash of anger across Hatsumomo's face, but she doesn't flinch -- not even when Hatsumomo takes a step toward her, gripping her arm.
"You will not be lucky anymore," she says, neither confirmation or denial, and then she lets go. Mameha turns to go. She knows that Hatsumomo feels she has won, but holds the victory herself, holds it in the way Hatsumomo's eyes follow her, jealous, wanting, wanting everything she is, yes, and wanting her.
