"I don't want to talk to you," Zell says, and Seifer can see just in his expression that things have changed. That Zell won't give at the slightest push anymore. He frowns.
"I guess you mean because of the war," he says -- the look Zell gives him says everything all over again. He sighs and looks away. "You know I didn't mean it all, don't you?"
"I know."
"So... can't we start again? Forget about it?"
"No," Zell says, blank, and he walks away.
