It feels like he's always been here, caught in pain and nothingness, and at the same time he thinks that only a minute ago he was with his sorceress. At least she isn't here, he thinks: it's all worth it just for that, even if it's just a tiny reprieve, even if he'll never leave.
He can hear the others. Or he thinks he can -- he wouldn't be surprised if they're nothing but wraiths. He finds that he's able to stand, and walk, so he walks, toward the sound of Zell's voice. It's as good a lead as any.
