With Rinoa, it was all go. She never stopped talking, filling the silences with whatever came to mind. Squall sometimes liked it, but now he realises he likes the silences better. With Fujin, anyway. Silence requires nothing from him; it's more comfortable for both of them. In Rinoa's opinion, it wouldn't be healthy -- lack of communication, and on and on through the book of amateur psychoanalysis.
Silence is easy for them: easier than clumsy words. To him, there is no more and no less to it.
(Squall is finally coming to realise that that is actually all that matters.)
