It's been months. Months of antagonising each other and arguing only to make up again. They've made a shelter out of denying that anything was ever wrong, denying that the war ever existed. Sometimes Zell wakes in the night the way Squall would wake in the night in the small cramped tent, gasping for breath and sweating. Seifer tried to reach out to him before: now he just rolls onto his side and lets him be.
It's a shelter, a denial, a dream, now becoming real and true and solid. Zell likes to say he's happy, or at least content.
