Seifer only has sex in the dark. Zell's not even sure why anymore, because he's found all the scars: the one on his chest, from a wound that by all rights he should have died from. The one along his stomach, a long raised line. The ones on his back, like wings cut away. He's found them with fingers and tongue, traced them all, ached for Seifer inside without saying a word. He goes along with it, though, because he owes him that much, because some of those scars have to be his fault, from wars that Seifer never wanted.
