It's raining. Most of the people are running inside from the quad, but Xu walks out there quietly, without looking at any of them. Her boots click firmly against the wet concrete, slipping a little on the worn steps down, but she doesn't fall. It's the kind of rain that wets you to the bone quickly, and it leaves her uniform clinging to her, strands of hair clinging to her cheeks.
Today, a team of SeeDs for a mission she accepted and organised didn't come back. Every SeeD knows there's no looking back.
Xu isn't ready to forget them yet.
