Rinoa's never convinced that he feels anything for her.
There're the sweet moments, the moments in the sun after fighting when he picks grass from her hair and just holds her, for as long as she wants. He lets her talk, too, on and on, about her father, the resistance, the unfairness of life. But still, in the end, she's not sure it means anything. The kisses feel forced and his touch doesn't comfort or soothe her as it should.
But that's fair, really. In the end, she's pretty sure she doesn't feel anything for him either.
