It's stupid and perfect, the idea of a little kid like Sora with the keyblade in his hands. Not so little now, of course, but still very little in Leon's eyes -- still too young, and thus, maybe better suited. He's set in his ways now, maybe, too set to make the adjustment, to move on and on. He only wants the old world back, while Sora could forge a new, brighter world.
He's still a little jealous, of course. He's always wanted more than he has, without ever knowing what more could be. What Sora has -- that'd just about do.
