"Jane's kids are really cute," Will says, softly, and looking over at Bran, he wonders if he regrets any of the choices he's made. The choice to live and die a mortal, the choice to be with Will and not with pretty, ordinary Jane Drew. The choice never to have children, never to pass anything of himself on. It doesn't look as if he does: his eyes are thoughtful behind the dark glasses, yes, thoughtful and far away, but not regretful.
"Yes," he says, and, sensing Will's thoughts, "still glad we can't have any terrors of our own, though."
