Gippal watches Rikku with some amusement as she pushes her hair out of her face and moves the pans around, making a lot of noise and achieving things in a rather haphazard way. "You're going to end up wearing one of those as a hat, this way."
She sticks her tongue out at him, pushing a pan into his hand as if he's nothing more than a convenient shelf, and turning back to eye the other pans, some of which are full and bubbling gently. "I've never tried to cook so much before. I can cook -- "
"Just the victims end up being forcefed potions afterwards, right?"
"Gippal!"
The look in his eyes is tender, loving, but right now he wouldn't admit it for the world. "What do you want me to do with this?" he asks, eyeing the mess at the bottom of the pan dubiously. It doesn't look burnt, but Rikku's standard, energetic response to anything and everything leads him to doubt that she's managed to do this thoroughly, following every step through to the end.
Not that he's much better, but --
"Wear it as a hat," she says, sweetly, turning to grab it from his hand as he teasingly acts as if he's about to do just that.
"Do I have to eat any of this?"
"Yup. Every single bit of it. You'll have to get used to my cooking if you want me to be your little housewife."
He leans against the counter, eyeing the jumble of ingredients and the flush on her cheeks. "You're cooking rather a lot, for that, though. Are you making extra in case it all goes wrong?"
Rikku turns to him, putting a hand on her hip, her expression indignant. "Are you particularly fond of the sofa?"
