Squall says it like it's the biggest secret in the world. Seifer knew it already, of course, but it's good to hear it, to know it, to feel it. He closes his eyes and holds Squall close, listening to him whisper it again, reminding himself of all the reasons why they're so wrong for each other, so right. And he says it back, their precious little secret, Squall's private guilt and shame and joy. It gets harder to say, somehow, not easier, and finally there comes a time when they don't say it, but just hold each other, knowing it.
