"You're a stupid bastard, you know that?"
Zell kneels down next to Seifer carefully, not touching the horrible wounds -- the severed arm, the slash in his stomach, the cuts that cover him.
"Why did you have to get into a fight?" he asks, gently, not expecting a response.
Seifer stirs a little. Zell sees that he's trying to speak, and lets him have a sip of water mixed with potion.
"Kill me," he says, when he can, his voice horribly hoarse.
"Seifer -- "
"Just do it," Seifer says, and the agony in his voice sends chills down Zell's spine.
"I can't," he says. "I'm sorry."
