"Here again?"

"Just thinking."

Tifa doesn't step over the threshold and into the church. It isn't her place: not now. This is still Aeris' place -- Aeris', and Cloud's. She stays in the doorway, though, and watches him, knowing that she is simply waiting for this time to pass, for Cloud to come home forever or leave altogether. "You're always thinking," she says, after a while, and smiles at him to let him know that she doesn't mind.

"Yes," he agrees. He stands up, dusting off his knees.

"Are you coming home?"

He looks up at her, as if sizing her up, then nods. "Yes."

Oh, I love Cloud/Tifa that includes his/their feelings for Aeris. The parts about her showing him she doesn't mind and him deciding to come home are particularly nice.

*dies* I've been eying your stories for a while now, I just couldn't read many of them before, because I just recently played FFVIII (and I didn't actually realize that you wrote much for the other FFs). I love your style, and I don't think you get enough FB for it. Probably because you've posted twelve stories today, but still. XD I'm going to do my best!

FFVIII is definitely my home ground, it's my oldest fandom. xD I'm horribly prolific, too, but lassarina keeps me in line or my ego well fed, whichever I deserve. Thanks for your feedback!
