Once the mist was gone, it was safe -- safer, at least -- to travel. Given some holiday time, some gil, and a sense that they should see more of the world, Marcus and Blank set off.
(They would've dragged Zidane with them, but he'd already seen it -- and, more importantly, was very much taken up with his lovely new bride.)
From Lindblum to Alexandria to visit Zidane, from there to the rest of the world. Burmecia and Cleyra, Madain Sari and the Black Mage Village, mountains and forests, over sea and over land.
(They were sick of each other before long.)
