"He looks tired," Yuna says. There's a hint of worry in her voice, which prompts an alarmed flail from Rikku.
"Don't go feeling sorry for him, Yunie! He's got to do it all, every bit!"
"I still don't see why this is exactly a punishment, but she's right." Paine shifts slightly, crossing her arms in front of her. There's the faintest smile on her face. "It should at least be the most boring thing going."
"That's the idea!"
"I still don't understand why he has to make a chocobo sculpture with real chocobo feathers," Yuna says, tentatively. Rikku thought up the punishment, of course. Yuna wouldn't like to be subjected to punishment thought up by that particular mind. Some of the things Rikku could come up with don't bear thinking about. And Yuna's not as good as Paine is at getting her own back.
"Simple!"
Paine stares at Rikku. That stare is, Yuna thinks, rather effective. It makes Rikku squirm on her perch and flail a little more. When she finally speaks, Rikku is just about to crack anyway. "Care to explain your clearly brilliant idea?"
"Well, he has to collect chocobo feathers for it, which takes ages. And he might have to, you know, get some from live chocobos..."
All three girls suddenly share a wicked grin.
"And then he has the sheer boredom of glueing them all to the framework," Rikku finishes triumphantly.
Rikku came up with the idea, and the framework. Paine studies it for a moment, and then clears her throat. "You know, it looks more like Gippal on a bad hair day than a chocobo."
"Do you want to join Rin?" Rikku asks with a sniff.
