Since Simon and Kaylee got together, Mal has walked in on them entirely too naked together in the engine room five times. He's happy for Kaylee, of course, though the thought of her having sex with anyone makes him feel somewhat queasy.
He's starting to wonder whether they need some kind of sign for one or the other's birthday. "Don't come in, captain, we're having sex" or something. Inara could paint it, all artsy-like.
It gets more appealing by the day, he thinks, as he backs out of the engine room swiftly, wishing he had some bleach to erase the mental image.
