Summary: Blank thinks about things Marcus doesn't want to remember. For
madain_sari.
"Thought you could do with this," Marcus says, putting a hot cup into Blank's hands. He smiles slightly, amused, when Blank makes no move, and sits down next to him, nudging him gently in the ribs -- more to break the spell than anything else. Seeing Blank sitting so still reminds him unpleasantly of Blank caught in an instant, solidified to stone.
"What? Oh. Thank you."
"What were you thinking about?"
Blank shrugs slightly, sipping the drink, his eyes still far away. "Everything, nothing. Zidane. Princess Garnet. Stone..."
Marcus frowns in concern, elbowing Blank again. "Maybe it's not the best time to be thinking about stuff like that, bro."
Shrug. "It's the past, now."
"I meant... well, it wasn't exactly a happy thing for me and the others, the rest of Tantalus, you know? Even Baku was worried sick about how we'd get you sorted out and back on your feet, so to speak... you know?"
Blank hides his smile in his cup, his eyes on the rising sun. "I know."
