"Do you believe in destiny?"

Celes has to think about it for a moment. She'd like to pass it off lightly -- as no doubt Locke or Edgar would -- but Terra's serious, thoughtful expression makes her think twice about that.

"I'm not sure."

"I do."

"Why?"

"I feel like I'm... pushed. Pushed about by chance. Too much for it to be a coincidence..." Terra trails off, then shrugs. "I don't know."

"I think we can always make our own choices," Celes says, finally. She takes Terra's hand and gives it a little squeeze. "So if there is such a thing as destiny, make your own."
