Cecil is glad to hear that. The day has been a mess of ceremony and peacemaking, but still, he's glad to hear it, even though he knows the score already. He smiles at Kain; the kind of smile he's practised for the courtiers, but that comes easily for someone he genuinely likes.
"As long as you're here now."
"Here to stay. I... Mount Ordeals helped, but here is where I must atone for -- "
Cecil shakes his head. "I want your loyalty, but not your guilt, Kain."
Kain glances aside. And then, slowly, nods.
