Celes avoids Terra's eyes and her curiosity at once, looking away from her and watching Gau caper about in celebration. Terra touches her wrist lightly, but she doesn't look at her.
"Why?"
"Well... you're half esper. And my magic... I didn't get it in the right way. Not the first magic, anyway. I..."
"You didn't know," Terra says, softly. She pats Celes' wrist and finally she looks back at her, meeting her eyes. "How could I blame you?"
"I..."
"Don't worry about it," she says, smiling. As if she can forgive Celes for everything -- all her sins.
Maybe she can.
