For a moment it feels like revelation -- creation -- god -- as it spears into him, making flesh from stone and bringing back his mind from that one frozen instant. For a moment it was rapture and then it was pain, and then it was relief, though he wasn't quite sure yet exactly what he'd been saved from.
Marcus didn't say a word. It took a moment for Blank to remember how to feel gratitude, wincing as the cure spread to that part of his mind -- and then he felt it, bright and alien.
