Edward is lonely. It is, he thinks, his only explanation or excuse for the way he feels about Cecil -- the way his eyes follow him, and the itching in his fingers to reach out and touch that he stills with music. He knows that Cecil draws him in because Cecil is a leader, knows what to do, how to do it. It's that that makes him want him -- and it doesn't seem such a bad thing, to him, to want that. He'll never actually do anything, of course -- but it's nice, sometimes, to let his thoughts wander.
