It isn't just that she has an evil streak at all. Mainly, it's 'cause Gippal blew her off to spend some time with this girl, who he's barely known a week if that -- even if he does, apparently, know her very well, or so she surmises from the way they're making all sorts of interesting noises in bed together.
The evil streak comes into it, she has to admit. Part of it is that the idiot left himself open for it, really, by leaving the door ajar. Didn't shut the door, let alone lock it, and so he deserves it if the girl's father catches him in her room. And part of it is, of course, that he's a big meanie and thusly richly deserves to have to run around Home pants-less.
It's a delicate operation, and for once Rikku is glad she's so skinny, slipping through the door without opening it wide enough to make the hinges creak -- not that Gippal and his girl are likely to notice the noise. They're too caught up in each other.
She has to remove her fingers from her ears to snatch up the pants, which is unfortunate, but she can escape swiftly after that, dancing down the corridor to hide Gippal's pants in her room until either he's been laughed at enough or he apologises to her.
She might've stolen his pants, but it's his own fault that he doesn't wear underwear.
