Summary: She does her best for them all.
She sometimes feels useless to the group. After all, she's just a white mage, with low attack and defence. All she can do is heal them, and although the healing is important, essential, even, at times, sometimes it seems patronising, because they are killing their enemies far too quickly to even need healing. But she has to take part, because she is part of the group.
She is no good in battle, so at some point she decided that she had to be perfect in every other way. She has to buy their supplies and cook their food, and she has to smile the most and laugh the most and when they do need healing, she has to do it quickly and she has to make sure that she doesn't get in the way.
She doesn't know it, but they all love her for it. She makes them all smile, makes it all just a little easier for each and every one of them. And they don't think her useless. In the middle of a tough battle, the feeling of her revitalising magic is the best thing in the world. The idea that she cares is enough to make them stagger up, again and again, Life spell after Phoenix Down after Healaga after Potion.
She does her best, and they all know it, and they're not quite sure how to show it, but they're very grateful.

This is the sweetest fic I've read in quite a while. (I've known people like that, too... and they're always the type you want to hug for all their hard work and thoughtfulness.)
