He sleeps with her because he can, that's pretty much all. Because she's there and Rikku's all hurt at him and he's planning on leaving soon anyway should any mishaps happen. She's always liked him, in a more obvious way than Rikku, and she's his age and not all whiny and all of that. She's a mistake, really, and he leaves her bed tousle-haired and only half dressed to run smack into Rikku, who stares at him all wide-eyed and thankfully doesn't get the picture.
At least it doesn't matter that he'll never talk to her again. Not like Rikku.
