Jayne chewed loudly on something and took the gun, cradling it carefully with just that hint of irreverence declaring that it wasn't his gun. Reluctantly, he nodded. "Ain't as pretty as Vera, but it's a damn fine gun."
"Vera?"
Jayne smiled that fond smile he reserved for guns, money and occasionally Kaylee. "A Callahan full-bore auto lock with customized trigger double cartridge thorough gauge. My very favourite gun."
Irvine raised an eyebrow, sprawling back in his chair. "Can I see?"
Jayne smirked. "If you're up for visitin' my bunk on Serenity."
