"How's it going?"
Rinoa looks up, smiling a little despite the awkwardness of being so close to Seifer -- her hip pressing into his on the narrow bench, and his arm supporting himself, almost around her. "The trial? Without you, everything has slowed down. They're being forced to think about it, really think it out and struggle with it, instead of just looking at you and wanting you dead. Squall thinks they might even go as far as to pardon you, if only to give someone else chance to get hands on you."
"So I'll be stuck here a while longer?"
"A while, yeah."
Seifer laughs a little, stretching out and yawning softly. "I can handle that. Though I really am missing things like, you know, hot water. And the chance to walk around properly."
"Well... can't promise anything. But soon."
Seifer smiles a little when he looks at her, and when he thinks of Squall. They've -- well, they're sheltering him, and though he never thought he'd want or need it, he's actually, at least a little, grateful.
