It's nothing they've ever thought to talk about. It's just something they've done, every evening while everyone else ponders plans or takes turns at cooking. Part of it is that Terra has a suspicious feeling that Celes knows her and her dilemmas better than anyone.

Part of it is that it's just nice to walk together, silent, not worrying. Not discussing anything. Just being.

"I'm on cooking duty tomorrow," Celes says, quietly, as they walk back to the others.

Terra nods, bites her lip -- "Would you like me to help?"

Celes' smile understands her reluctance to let these moments go for a day.
