Tracey's pretty blue eyes are, Mal figures, like the ocean -- fit to bowl you over if you ain't careful. You watch out and you watch your back and you try not to let it sneak up on you and then it's there with that little irresistible tug. Tracey's just there and kinda like that, and Mal kinda wants to just give in to it to still that restless little tug.

But he figures he's gotta be like the beach, wearin' away a bit, givin' a little, but always there. Somethin' solid for the reckless kid to cling to, somethin' that won't give at the least look from them pretty blue eyes.
